Football season in the Southeastern Conference is a battle week in and week out.

Every Saturday, there are marquee matchups that define the college football season as a whole, not just the SEC season.

Here is a rundown of the best game of each week in the SEC:

Week 1: Alabama vs. Wisconsin (Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas)

There are four huge neutral site nonconference games involving SEC teams on the first weekend of the college football season, but the Cowboys Classic is the best.

Alabama will be looking to begin their title-contending season in a game that will be between two ranked teams on a primetime national stage.

Week 2: Oklahoma at Tennessee

Besides this matchup and one between Mississippi State and LSU, week two of the college football season is full of cupcake games for SEC schools.

Tennessee will be looking for revenge in the second half of this home and home series, and Neyland Stadium should be rocking.

Week 3: Ole Miss at Alabama

Alabama will get a chance to avenge their only regular season loss of the 2014 season in week three.

Tide players, coaches, and fans will all be looking forward to welcoming Ole Miss to town on Oct. 19.

Week 4: Texas A&M vs. Arkansas (in Arlington, Texas)

Last season’s game was a classic, and this season’s will be another SEC West showdown.

The difference will be that last season this game was not very important in the race for the West. This season it will be.

Week 5: Alabama at Georgia

Alabama and Georgia’s first meeting since the classic 2012 SEC Championship game will have much hype, and will probably be one of the biggest games in the entire country on the day it is played.

Georgia is known for usually dodging the best schools from the SEC West on their schedule, but not this year.

Week 6: Georgia at Tennessee

This classic SEC East rivalry will probably be the most important game in helping decide the East winner.

This mid-October matchup could essentially be the SEC East’s championship game.

Week 7: Missouri at Georgia

This game gets the nod over Texas A&M and Alabama simply because one of these teams has represented the SEC East in Atlanta each of the past four seasons.

This year’s game will once again be important in determining the East winner.

Week 8: Tennessee at Alabama

The Third Saturday in October hasn’t been very competitive lately, but that will probably change this season.

This also will be the first time that the Tennessee and Alabama teams along with Lane Kiffin will be in Bryant-Denny Stadium at the same time since the Vols almost pulled off the huge upset over the Tide in 2009.

Week 9: Ole Miss at Auburn

Last year’s game was season defining for Ole Miss – in a bad way.

This year’s Halloween edition will have major SEC West implications once again.

Week 10: LSU at Alabama

The LSU-Alabama rivalry has been one of the premier ones in the SEC in the past several years.

It may not have quite the magnitude it had just a couple seasons ago, but it will still be a big game for both teams.

Week 11: Georgia at Auburn

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry will return to the site of “The Prayer at Jordan-Hare” in 2015.

This could be a preview of the SEC Championship Game that will take place three weeks later.

Week 12: Tennessee at Missouri

The second to last weekend of the season is a relatively weak one due to the fact that teams are preparing for their rivalry games for the last week of the regular season.

But the Vols traveling to Columbia to take on the Tigers will be a good matchup, and will likely have large SEC East standings implications.

Week 13: Alabama at Auburn

On a Saturday where there are several good games, Alabama-Auburn is the best.

The Iron Bowl will be the biggest game of the entire SEC season, not just of week 13.

The winner of this one will likely be in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game the following weekend.
